Cyberspace Username

I used the 'interlace' effect on my video to make it look like old VHS footage, and it looks exactly how I want it in the preview, but when I export the video it doesn't have the interlacing effect. Is it automatically removing it because we don't normally want interlacing? What can I do? Any help is greatly appreciated thank you Ok uhh, I exported it as a 720p .wmv file and i think it worked just in case u r wondering.
