When I have two or more video tracks on top of each other, the bottom video track flashes for a brief frame or so at the start of the playback. This is like the black frame problem with adjacent clips on a separate video track layer.

Sometimes when I take a snapshot of the clip preview, it does not match the image frame snapshot and I have to take a snapshot of the sequence preview.

It's not an issue of me not finding the line precision cut point, it's an issue of buggy software.

v7.3 I have an instance where I have two adjacent clips connected on the same track, 3-4 audio tracks, but when I drag the red timeline onto the next clip, the first clip still overlaps in playback a few milliseconds even though the red line shows I'm over the next clip. Once I drag the red line further down, then it shows the proper clip. This error shows in playback and also appears on the export file. Strangely, the problem clears up when I delete one of the audio clips beneath, any audio clip. These sort of recurring quirky bugs in videopad which I find unacceptable.

It's the latest one. Every version has always been imperfect with my use and it's no different. Can you comment on it without my uploading?

This is a ambiguous disclaimer that doesn't clarify that after 6 months you WILL need to purchase in order to upgrade. It should be noted on the purchase page, not download page. Subscription models are fine, but a lifetime purchase shouldn't have to keep purchasing just to upgrade. I would be more okay with the upgrade model if Videopad wasn't so buggy. But it's awful that there are so many bugs and quirks to Videopad it's like purchasing a beta release.

I can't figure out optimal settings that don't get rid of jagged pixels and green overspill. If I threshold too high, it'll take off too much. Fading and feathering doesn't produce clean lines. they just make the jagged edges a bit transparent, which isn't any better looking.

I'm very unhappy that licensed users upgrades are limited for only up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. I can't find this disclaimer anywhere on the purchase page, update page, FAQ page, nor product page. I really think it is a deceptive limitation and unfair for people like myself who bought a lifetime master's license expecting to use an up to date for the lifetime of my usage. Why are you screwing over your customers?

When I use the green screen fx, I get pixelated jagged edges and a little green overspill. What's the most optimal way to get clean edges and less green?

Sometimes after exporting, I'd see a black frame flashed on cuts when the footage is on different video track levels. But the black frame would not appear on the sequence preview. To fix, I would extend some of lower level video track to overlap underneath the top video track. It's really annoying to have to go back and recheck my export playbacks by frame. v7.3 Another issue I had was when I placed a text clip and spaced it out on a left aligned format, on export, the text would appear in the right time sync, but in the wrong spacing position.

Well, you should try it. Just get any video clip, place an image, extend the image, playback. I tried those two elements on a new project. Same result. Sharing the project is too much trouble and all my free cloud storages are full. The blank video issue got resolved on a reinstall.

Sometimes I get playbacks that weirdly "image freezes" (plays but doesn't show image) on the transition clip (transitioning to a still image). It looks ok when I scrub and export though. Why does this happen and how do I fix. v7.3 *edit* Weirdly, it plays back ok when I insert a video track below my still images. *edit 2* Frustratingly, when I close the project and reload it, I get a blank black screen on playback.

What??? I didn't know that. Even for lifetime licensers? That's absurd, especially with how buggy this software is. I don't know what the problem is with the subtitles either; it seemed to work on a previous project. I reinstalled, same thing. Was hesitant to upgrade, since versions aren't always backwards compatible but I upgraded to v.7.30 and it works.

When I export on v7.11 subtitles aren't displaying.

Is that the expectation of this software, I have to keep track of every version I use for each project? Versions as old as a few months become incompatible? Some old projects I haven't kept track, how do I find out. Yeah, I think defaulting to all subs isn't a good design. Maybe vp keeping/recording the setting the project user set it to for the project is better. Do you have any solution for the black frame between cuts? On export, the subtitle timing between cuts isn't always exact as I make it. These are issues I keep experiencing over several versions. Now, I'm going over my export, and checking every single cut and editing over single black frames.

I upgraded from 7.11 to 7.24 because on a project I had bugs like black frame between cuts, or video track layers overlapping a frame over cuts, a bottom green screen video layer was showing up black when exported, Version 7.24 didn't import all my project accurately. It didn't import my scale fx properly. The beginning of my video shows black in editing. When I export, though it shows ok for the black but the scale issue is exported, and the green screen layer issue is fixed. Oh yeah, the subtitles don't save format settings so I have to save and load every time I run it, and make sure I set to selected subtitles instead of all subtitles. This is annoying. Also, videopad is always quirky with bugs and errors. Why aren't previous rollback versions posted for download? Also, when the heck is 7.25 coming out? I tried the beta, and it doesn't import the project settings properly.
