  1. Thanks. That indicates that I am running the latest version.
  2. I'm still waiting for it to update to 7.02. If it was meant to say NO need to wait until it updates to 7.02, then the audio issue is not fixed on the version I've downloaded and tried.
  3. Yes, that seems to be spot on. Many thanks for your help thus far. I'll await your update on progress to finally resolve the issues.
  4. I've just realised, playing the tape, that the sound is not running at the same speed as the video, and my early comments on the soundtrack itself are very distorted.
  5. OK, after several attempts, I've done that. The soundtrack works fine, although appears far longer than the video (1:10:06 against 0:46:44). What's the next stage? I don't feel I can create mp3 files for all my unedited videos; there are 300+ hours of raw footage.
  6. Yes, sorry, the test tape sound cuts out at about 4:56.
  7. Version 7.01 loaded. My .avi files now load fully as far as video is concerned (Thanks), but the soundtrack only loads as far as about 5m 56s. It loads fully on other types of files: .wmv, .mp4.
  8. Can I just continue, or do I need to reload the programme?
  9. Gotcha. Please advise as soon as the .avi issue is resolved. Thanks.
  10. So, if I'm understanding you corrctly, I use prism to convert the .avi file to .wmv; edit the .wmv file, and then replace with the .avi format so that it is then edited, or I can export the file as a .mp4 to the web? Please confirm.
  11. So does anybody have ANY idea of the timescale on this, or do I need to find another editing programme?
  12. So my video editing is on hold until ..... who knows when?
  13. So my video editing is on hold until ..... who knows when?
  14. The .wmv version loads fully. I'd already found this by testing a .wmv file almost identical to one of the many .avi files that won't load. However, for example, the .avi test file that I sent is 9.42Gb, and the .wmv version that you have returned is only 780Mb, and I'm concerned about loss of quality, clarity, etc doing this. I'd rather edit the original file and convert at the end, or when uploading as another format in order to retain the quality of the original file.
  15. File uploaded. This was shot on a Panasonic NV-DX110B camcorder, and imported into Windows Movie Maker 6.0 as a DV-AVI(PAL) format. Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lv6fTITU_oXO1o3w9LLXo7v_TjKAsky9/view?usp=sharing
  16. OK, I've shot a video and created a file. I'm not familiar with the procedures outlined in your linked 'tips' message. The file is 46m 44s long, but when I import it into videopad, hey presto, the import stops at 4.07.314. Please let me know, keystroke by keystroke, how to upload this file, and which version you want - the full one or the truncated version. Thanks.
  17. I said in my original post that they are .avi files. What further information do you want? I do not currently have any files that I can make available to you.
  18. I'm trying to use the free version of videpoad 7.00, and any .avi files that I import only load to 04.07.314 (4 minutes 7-ish seconds). They worked fine in WMM, but recent updates to Windows 10 have disabled that, so I'm looking for a new editing suite. Videopad appears to fit the bill for my simple needs, except for this issue, previously discussed here: - http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/22347-video-clip-length Help, please.
  19. I'm trying to use the free version of videpoad 7.00, and any files that I import only load to 04.07.314 (4 minutes 7-ish seconds), so this problem appears to be ongoing. Help, please ... or I'll have to use something else.
