Hi friends, I'd like to submit this problem. I have a portion of more large sequence, where the Rendering on MAC stops at 10 seconds and there it remains forever. Tell me how I can upload the project for you to check. The Export should be as: MP4, H.264 30fps Constant Frame Rate, 1920x1080. As an alternative it is ok also as AVI instead of MP4. On my Mac it stops as well. I'm doing this on MacBook Pro i7 16GB RAM. The same project on PC, completes the rendering but it is not smooth. PC is Dell i7 16GB RAM nVidia Quadro. Do you think that the problem is Software related or Hardware related? Do you expect that the new version will fix this problem? Please let me know. Many thanks.

As you suggested I cleared the Cache and now I can used th Zoom with key frame without any crash at the moment. I'm using the latest version on both PC and Mac (I bought both). The problem I had was on PC. Many thanks or your great help. I hope that will not happen again.

Today I started facing a new problem. I was working till yesterday on editing some Clips that later will be inserted into the main project. So, I only have a single Clip (it was shortened before and exported to have only the relevant portion), I need to add a ZOOM effect. Zoom will be done with 16:9 forced aspect ratio, and I need to add some Key Frame with a different posizion and zooming factor on some areas of the clip. When I enter the Zoom Effect the VP crash. Any idea? Note that I did teh same on some Clips yesterday without any problem. Many thanks

I have the same "Building Preview" problem editing MP4 H.264 Clips on both PC (i7 Quad Core 16GB RAM nVidia Quandro GPU) and on MacBook Pro (i7 16GB RAM AMV Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB). Even waiting for teh Cache to be generated the problem happens too often passing from one Clip to the Next. W/WO Transitions or Effects. The fact that the product is build 32Bit could be one of the reasons. Nowadays it should be better to have it 64bit compiled since all the modern PC (even low level ones) are 64Bit. I notice that the amount of memory used while working is not that much (400/500 MB RAM used by the process). Probably the Clip Cash on Disk is one of the bottleneck for smooth transaction between clips. When a huge amount of RAM is available probably should be better of have the Clip Cash on RAM. Please let me know your suggestion how to better smoothly work. Many thanks.

Thanks for the info. I found that on MAC, I have the Preferences/Export Use External H264 Video Compressor Flag. On PC (I have bought both versions of VideoPad), this flag in Tool/Options is not available. Is it correct? Next Question is about unsmooth Rendering. Even if my PC is an i7 Quad Core with 16GB RAM, the Rendering on complex Sequence is not smooth. I'm working on a Video for a Song (with my Band we are near close to complete our of Concept Album), It contains many Clips (Most of them bought on VideoStock.com in MP4 H.264 Format 16:9 1080p. On top of those Clips I have of course Effects on some Clips and Transitions between them. I can accept that the Preview is not smooth and some calculation need to be done passing from one Clip to the Next. But on Rendering I expect to have a perfectly smooth Output and perfectly sync with Audio Track. It was OK till two days ago, when I added more Clips at the end, some Effect and Transitions. Now it is no more smooth. Do you think that the setting Software Rendering instead of OpenGL Rendering can produce any positive effect on this problem? Any suggestion is welcome. Please let me know. Hi, I just bought a couple of weeks ago the VideoPad. I like it very much but I have some questions. 1) When I insert some Video Clip into the timeline, I need to shorten the Clips. Currently I'm using the Clip Preview to do so. If the portion of the clip I need to use doesn't start at the very beginning of the clip, I face an unsmooth switch between clips. Meaning that when the playhead is passing from the provious clip to the next I don't see smoothly on the project preview window. I tried to insert a very short transition (0.1 sec) between them and the result is much smoother. Why? 2) When the playhead is passing from a clip to the next, sometimes the system need to calculate something (effects usually) This happens too often even if my PC is i7 with 16GB RAM. What is the best way to avoid such a problem without having to create a rendering to check if everything is OK? At the moment I'm working on a video with all Clip in MP4 1080p with a single MP3 audio track and single Video track. 3) Last question is where I can set the snap to the start/end of a clip while moving the playhead.
