I was then taken to a VideoPad Video Editor Versions screen (screenshot). 3. I clicked on the link to to enter my Key and check for upgrade pricing. 4. Then I got the screen to enter my product and Reg key (screenshot). 5. Which then took me to a Purchase screen (and discount pricing). 6. The price was about $49. I thought it would be $FREE because I had a current 2 month old Key (recent purchase). Thus the questions on the forum here. ****** So, based on feedback in the forum I. 1. This time I did not click on the link to enter a Key. 4, Instead, I clicked on the "Red Windows button" on that screen. 5. Got the download of "unknown" version. 6. Ran the setup exe. 7. Now I have Licensed version 3.73 (Exporting is available). Now, I assume this is my new license version (3.73) just like my original purchase of version 3.58 Is that true?

Borate, My confusion is, when does upgrade pricing happen .. when you have to pay again ? When you would go from "Licensed" to not licensed product? I know if I have my currenty purchased product for more than 3 months I may have to pay for a new product. But what is that new product? For example. Versions history 3.58 3.61 3.70 3.73 Are these considered updates or new products?

Nat, "Version 3.73 is a BETA version" Where does it show which version is a Beta version? **** Also, I will put up screenshots. One shows an update is available. I have no idea which version it is. The other shows a policy of free updates for at least 3 months. What do you think?

I purchased VP ver 3.58 8-7-14 I updated to ver 3.70 on 9-28-14 (free) Now I see in this forum mention of ver 3.73 . So I went to get current version (check for updates using my "key" for ver 3.58). Then I get a purchase screen. Does that sound right ? This in only my second month with my current purchase?

Is the Utube Export supposed to work ? I tested again today with newest version 3.70. Did not work for me. Maybe someone from NCH support could test it and give some help ?

"Just saw your note on the "media list" I don't have that tab - maybe that's what's missing" The TAB is Video files. Under that will be your file name (midea list of your files).

It is very good to know that Debut is not causing a crash problem. I have not seen any mention of Debut having a temporary file that can be used after a computer problem to recover a non-saved work-in-progress.

"occasionally my computer crashes in the middle of a recording" Is it only crashing when using Debut?

One video track and one sound track loads. The sound is very low volume .. sounds like a slow stream of water in the woods.. or leaves blowing down the sidewalk ... I see the inset webcam vid in the upper left corner OK. Video itself is ok. Same in Win Media Player and Videopad.

Lucian, I have the paid version. I record with speaker and audio inputs "mixed" using Debut on 1 track and that imports into VideoPad ok on track 1. Any additional tracks can be created or imported. If you an put a short video on an download link I could test it for you as a quick check.

Nat, I purchased the program today. I still get what you first reported "A test video loaded OK from 3.58 to facebook but not to UTube, when "Failed to login" etc. message appeared." I had asked you a couple questions in previous posts ... but you had not replied. So, anyway, I do not know what I am doing wrong at this point. Edit: Utube is seeing PhotoPad as not authorized for some reason. Screenshot of login attempts. I was hoping another user has had this problem and knows what I am doing wrong .. or VideoPad is doing wrong??

Did you check the folder to see what is actually there and what size the files are?

I know the feeling. I now make a copy of all project input files into folder1 Output goes to folder2 Then a backup of project files after each major edit to folder3 BTW, "VideoPad had been crashing, as it always does" Which version do you have? Any idea what causes the crash ..?

Borate, Thanks for the follow up. "mixdown in an external audio editor" Well, I have no idea what that means so I could possibly use the VideoPad with just two audio tracks and no Plugins. My videos are normally using Debut to caputre flight simulation (flights) to xplain aircraft procedures or problems. Normally only Debut and my voice into the Mic. So, I was trying to learn what situation would I need more than two audio tracks .. Like, I may want to add a narration to the original video .. in addition to what I spoke during the original video recording .. sort of thing. Edit: Also not sure I would need a Plug-in or not?

Do I need more than 2 audio tracks ......? I need some more information of when I would need or could use more than two audio tracks?

When you verify all is working OK if you post the steps you use I will try it? Edit: Do you have the Registered (PAID $) version or trial version?

Nat, Thanks for confirming exports to Utube is not working. This NCH help file (attached screenshot) shows that your first VideoPad export upload to Flickr requires an "authorization" first. Subsequent uploads should not require a new authorization. I dod not use Flickr so I cannot verify if VideoPad is getting authorization to upload or not. I think this "authorization" part for exports to Utube is missing from VideoPad version 3.58 and that makes exports to Utube impossible.

When I click on Utube the default file ext is .flv. My problem with VideoPad is getting logged onto Utube ... With Adobe PE11 the first time I wanted to export a video to Utube I hade to go thru an "authorization" (clicking OK e.g. ) on a couple screens that poped up ... which then gave PE11 permission to access my Utube account for all my subsequent uploads. I had read that VideoPad does this "authorization" sequence for uploads to (I think) Flickr .. which I do not use .. just for example here. I think VideoPad needs to also have the same "authorization" .. not just for me but for all VideoPad users who want to use Utube. Do you upload (file/Export) to Utube?

This one saves the file, but the user has to go to Utube, sign in, then upload it manually. That works for me also .. as I mentioned in my first post.
