  1. Hello, Amplify is the best way to increase the volume of your sound files (if set too low). I like that better because if I increase too much, I can Ctrl+Z (undo amplify) if I go too far. Sometimes I amplify 400%, but now instead I just set at 120% and do it as many times as I want. If you go the other way and increase the input volume on your source, you have to be careful you are not recording at too high a level or you will get clicks in your recorded music. Hope that helps. Losing MP3 Tags

I too found that I was losing the id3tags, but what I do is all the changes, save and then add the id3 tags and save again. I've been doing that for a months now. Ardena
  3. Hi Judy, What are you trying to record from? If you are recording from radio or tape recorder - you can plug the cable to your computer into microphone or line in. Whichever one you use, you have to match it up in the Record Control panel where it says Input. A note now about the two inputs. I am in the process of recording onto the computer to burn cds from my audio tapes. First off I used the microphone input, but I found that unsatisfactory as I couldn't hear what I was recording. So I put the cable into the line in and can hear exactly what I want, when to start the recording and when to stop. Just remember to change the input to match where you are recording from. Hope that helps. Ardena

  5. Hey Gloria, You've looked at the program? You've opened up a music file? If so, what do you want to know exactly? Do you wonder what you are looking at when you've opened a file? Give us a little more informaiton you're after. Ardena
  6. Hi, I would just go to the point I want my music to start at (stop at that point) and then go to Edit/trim start. Then Save your file. Easy!! Ardena
  7. Hi, I am frequently doing this sort of job with Wavepad. Here's how I get the bits I want: Open the file. Move to the start point that you want to keep. Edit/Trim start - gets rid of the stuff at the front. Then save your file. Next- go to the end of the music you want to keep, and now Edit/split into two at this point. Save your file - the one you've just split off. Now I would save the remaining file with a name I can recognize (because you will end up with files named untitled 1, untitled2 and most times can't recognize which is the split I want to keep). There you have it. Just continue with splitting, saving, and with the last split you may need to clean the end - so find the end point and Edit/trim end Hope this helps, Ardena :-)
