I have a 9min20sec song and I want to cut out the first 66 seconds of intro music. Can I do a "fade in" (not just an abrupt clip and edit) somehow? I'm using the free version of WavePad software that I have just found on the 'net and downloaded. Thanks in advance if you could explain how it's done!

Hi, everyone. I am brand new to this topic! Your help would be appreciated. I am not a musician, recording studio person, boffin, or anything even remotely similar, but I find myself needing to make some 'customized' CDs. I want to join two songs together with no gap - just a straight flow from one song into the other, without the "several seconds of silence" you hear when listening to an album or CD. I've "ripped" the two songs off the album and put them onto my computer's Desktop, but when I tried to link them together, the two songs played on top of each other - ie, both at the same time, simultaneously. That's not what I want - I want a flow. (When one ends, the other starts.) What I am trying to do is pretty simple, or should be. Can anyone advise me how I do this? Thanks in advance!
