Brilliant - thank you!

The 'control' shortcuts do not work over Terminal Services ie when the focus is within TS. I have a program (TSRemoteExec) that does a 'call-back' to the originating PC from within TS for auto-dialling: "C:\Temp\TSRemoteExec.exe ""C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\Talk\talk.exe"" -dial " & "1831" & strCallNumber '-dial' is the parameter. Is there one for 'Hang-up' and maybe others?

Telstra charge about 27c/min plus flag fall to non-Telstra and less to Telstra phones. I am on a 10.4c per minute 'test' plan but the VOIP provider is very bad. I have a 'dormant' 18c/min account and have started to use them. So sorry your rates would be too high. But I wish you the very best with your new service. Anyway after switching to this VOIP most mobile calls are auto-disconnecting but landlines are not - go figure.

OK I'll keep digging thanks. Problem is that I'm using not using a router but "Internet Connection Sharing" (temporarily for a few mths) and have checked the "delivery of ICS PC" and cannot see any firewall. Maybe ET has problems with ICS networks? Anyway pythonpoole I filled the survey and noticed your logo at the end (Skorptec). So you're starting up a VOIP service I presume - I don't think you're going public (listing on the stock exchange) and laying cables - anyway all the best. PS - did you develop ET and other related telephony products - if not then would you mind telling me who did.

I have just checked and double-checked: On my PC I disconnected Norton's AV and on the PC with Internet Connection Sharing there is no firewall nor AV. BTW what does "Unable to auto-detect public IP. Using private IP" mean?
-
Also ET set up port 5070 during the install process but you mention 5060 - does it matter? Still does not auto-disconnect.
-
Sorry forgot to mention: No firewall on my PC nor on the Internet Connection Sharing PC (I am using ICS temporarily).

OK so I ran the Network Wizard and it set up the 2 STUN servers. 'stun.softjoys.com' and 'stun1.faktortel.com.au'. Now when I make a call I get the following messages - the call goes thru but ET will not auto-disconnect. 06:40:37 Initiated sip call to: 61404795165 06:40:38 STUN server failed: stun.softjoys.com 06:40:39 STUN server failed: stun1.faktortel.com.au 06:40:39 The internet connection could be down. 06:40:39 Check local firewall is not blocking UDP port 8000 06:40:39 Also check STUN settings or use different STUN servers. 06:40:39 Unable to auto-detect public IP. OK so the called phone hangs up but ET keeps ticking away. Don't care whose problem it is - I just want to understand what is going on and fix it.

I have set up ET on 4 PCs. 3 work fine but the 4th. has no audio inbound. During the setup the ET Wizard said that a Firewall was blocking UDP port 5060,5070, 8000 etc. I have no firewall on that PC and ALL PCs access the Internet thru the same router.
-
Thanks for the reply. But apologies, the PC to PC setup is described in ETs HELP files. I did not look there.

Any ideas about how to set up Express Talk so I can talk to someone on anothet PC that has ET> I have looked everywhere on the NCH website FAQs but no mention of this.
-
I have Express Talk (free) installed on 4 PCs and 3 work fine. On 1 PC I cannot HEAR anything over VOIP but when I use the "Audio Setup Wizard" all is well. All the options (in Exp Talk) on all the PCs are EXACTLY the same. I have run out of ideas. Could the router be blocking something?

I can call out no problems; didn't mention that before. I do have a static IP address. Is it used for incoming calls? There will be none. So is it worth setting up?
-
Every 10 minutes my log file shows "Unable to auto-detect public IP. Using private IP." Any ideas?

I need to set up Express Talk on many PCs. To install it I have to be an ADMIN account, that's OK. But then for each user (on that PC) my understanding is that I have to go thru the options setup over and over again.

I know I can dial from my application (eg user dble-clicks) on a phone number but can VRS store/retrive that recording by an account# number. Of course the normal database keys would be used by the VRS software but this ability is very important for associating calls to company activity. Sure you can retrieve a call by phone# and date/time but any company would want to associate these calls with say an account# or whatever.

I am tech proficient but do not have time to delve at a detailed level. I need to talk to someone who knows these NCH products very well regarding my wish list that I have accumulated over the last 2 years. I will gladly pay for talk time. Please email me something about your experience. Does not have to be very detailed. Phone # also please.
-
Stunning! Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for.

I want to be able to dial a # from my app. eg 'ExpressTalk.exe dial=035984562' or something like that. ET would already be logged on to my SIP. Only the dialling would be automated. Thanks
