Highly doubtful. I worked with the same file approximately ten or so times before the error started. I originally got the .DSS file from an e-mail that was sent to me. Fearing it might be corrupted somehow, I saved the attachment again to the working directory and worked with a 'fresh' copy, so that should eliminate corruption issues. The .DSS files are created by people that I know and while the files are confidential, they do not have the knowledge or desire to protect the files - certainly nothing as complex as being able to protect them from being converted after ten uses, and with the ability to know that new copies of the file are actually the same file and must therefore be protected. (That may have sounded confusing but to keep it simple, let's just say the answer to your question is "No.")
