  1. Thank you, I'm certainly enjoying getting to know Videopad.

Whilst I was in the Army in 1949, I was scheduled to go to Hong Kong, but when I got back from Embarkation leave they had taken me off the draft because i'd got less service left than others, I tried to get back on the draft, but no luck, I really wanted to go, one of my regrets in life.

  2. So sorry to hear about your health problems, It's nice to communicate with you on here, I started on Adobe Premier but never kept up with upgrades when we went to 16'9 aspect ratio, it was then I went on to Movieplus, and I did have a go with Corel VideoStudio, which I still have on the computer but now I've found VideoPad I think I'll stick with that, I do like it.

Take care, be nice to speak again sometime

  3. Thank you Lancelot, You never know, you could reach 92 and more, the thing to do is keep yourself active, learning new things helps keep your brain active, I love Video Editing, I've been using Serif MoviePlus for years but the company has stopped producing it and have stopped any help and updates so I had to find something to replace it should it go down, and I am getting on well with VideoPad

    Happy editing

  4. I'm sorry you are disappointed with this product, I can assure you I have nothing to do with the company, in fact, I've been retired for years, but fortunately at 92 I still have the intelligence to work out editing software, as they all differ.

  5. IIeices, I don't know whether you have given up on VideoPad, but I think you should give it a chance, I had a few problems at first, but I just set up play around projects and tried all sorts of things, just played and played, and Wow I've learnt so much, I can now replace the Video Editing software I've had for years and thought was irreplaceable.

I think you should really give it a good try before you slate it and condemn it.

  6. I just set up Nonsense project and just play around with it and try out all sorts of things like this morning I made a DVD, and then exported  a video to Vimeo, I just play around trying all sorts of things, it's amazing what you learn when you just play, with no panic to get a result.

  7. Borate

Thank you so much for that, not only will that save me some time, It's not the breed name, it's the name of the dog, like this, "CH Bowerhinton Be Madams Spy at Graythor Sh CM", so you can see it will save me from the possibility of making a mistake in the dog's kennel name as they can be quite long and sometimes complicated, thank you again.

  8. Is there any way when you have created titles to be able to store them with just the lettering to use in other projects.

Let me explain, I video at Dog shows and dog names can be lengthy, and when I come to edit the shows it would be nice to have the dog names there that I can move and put under the dog that's being gone over by the Judge, needs somehow I can store them in a folder or something that is retrievable in the next dog show project.

At the moment when the project is finished with all the dog names get lost

  9. The pictures were  of the encodings settings. Sorry, I can't put the project up for you, I really can't sort out how to do it, and I really haven't got the time at the moment to sort it.

I've got it working how I want it, so I'm happy with that.

    Thanks for your help

    Alan

  10. The top picture was how it was when I opened it, I clicked on the list and chose the MPEG4, clicked the OK, and everything worked fine after that, it certainly cured my problem.

Perhaps Mary Kay could try the same ?

Don't know what happened there, the pictures haven't come up. But I've got mine sorted anyway

  11. Borate and Mary Kay Glunt, I've found the answer to my mp4 problem, I went to the export file setting, I clicked on "default quality", it opens the encoding settings, Video Compressor was reading H264, I changed it to MPEG4, clicked save,  Now every thing is working fine.

    Hope this helps folks

  12. borate, I've opened my Google account, and it's all new to me and I can't sort out sending you the Link at the moment, I'm a bit busy. I have found a way to convert the unseeable mp4 clip to a seeable one, so for the time being I'll stay as I am, thank you so much for your interest in helping me

    Alan

  13. Still the same, I'll carry on exporting in wmv file for the time being, and see what happens when I try it again in a few days. Thank you so much for your help, I’m really pleased with the replies and help, a lot different to my last Video editor, Thank you again.

  14. I've been using VideoPad for some little time now, Saving a clip to mp4 never did work so always saved them as a wmv, they worked fine, am happy with that. I've now purchased and registered VideoPad and I thought that might sort the mp4 problem out, but still the same, When you click on the saved clip it comes up on screen, there is Audio but no picture. Thank you if you can help me, it's bugging me.
