Screen Recording Area Not Highlighted

Hi there

 

I'm just trialling this software on an XP machine and I notice that if I select an area of the screen to record, there is nothing on the screen itself to show me the area that is being recorded.

 

I've tried looking in the settings but I must be missing something obvious if it is there!

 

The problem is I want to record a portion of the screen, so I need to know what portion of the screen is being recorded.

 

Any ideas?

You have to select the portion of the screen that is being captured before you begin the recording. Since YOU select the area, I would assume that YOU know what you selected when you begin recording...

Hey Brett, lets say that you are trying to record the youtube media player for whatever reason. When you use the rectangle to select the player, you should should see what you've selected despite size live in the debut window. It's a no-brainer.

 

Otherwise, there is something wrong with your computer/program.
