scorpio01
since previous versions had no option for multiple currencies and for a different currency you had to create a new company but upgraded v4.48 had an option to manage multiple currencies within the same company we want to know how can we move data from a company to a currency for example we deal in 2 currencies (HKS/USD) so we had to make 2 companies XXX Ltd HKD (main currency) XXX Ltd USD now we want to merge XXX Ltd USD to main company XXX Ltd HKD, so both of them can be maintained under 1 single company any idea how ? we tried to find out where data is located on a Windows computer, but we could not find anything Regards Scorpio01
Chris75
Hello Scorpio01, currently the program does not offer the option to merge companies, a work around would be to create a backup of both companies, then manually copy the info from company 1 into company's 2 backup folder. Once you have copy all the information you may restore the data from the consolidated backup. To create the backup you may click on Tools > Backup data and select the location in your computer where you want to backup the data to. You will have to do this for both companies separately, then open both folders with the backup info and manually copy from one into the other. To restore the data click on Tools > Restore data > Confirm you want to restore from a backup and select the consolidated backup you created. scorpio01
a bit afraid to play with data First of all, I am not sure if running the backup will backup everything or just the company which is selected at the moment the method you suggested is this 1) backup each company individually 2) copy them all in 1 consolidated folder 3) restore backup from that folder is that correct?
