I used to convert MIDI files to MP3 ones since years. I've just bought two installs of Switch for two computers a few days ago but... conversion doesn't succeed for any file 😞 Please, help.

On my IPAD, I want to record from my MIDI-keyboard to MIXPAD. In the Audio Options menu, there is only the option for "Recording using an audio device", but not for "recording using MIDI" (as it is the case under WINDOWS). Does this mean that recording from midi-devices is not possible in the IPAD-version of MIXPAD ? Or that I have to purchase a feature ?

Where can i get more midi files for my PlayPerfect library

I want to edit a MIDI file, without adding any audio clips, and then save it or export it as a MIDI file again. This doesn't seem to be an option. I can save it as a MixPad project, or I can export it as anything *except* MIDI. Am I missing something, or is this a limitation of MixPad?

I'm looking to use an Artiphon Orba device as a midi-controller device with MixPad but can't seem to navigate the instructions to set this up. The Orba connects via USB (or Bluetooth) to a Windows machine and MixPad sees the device as a playback option, but not as an input option. There doesn't seem to be an option for accepting input from the device. There is a MixPad instruction for mapping keys, though this too doesn't appear to accept input from the Orba device. I'd love to work this out as they seem like an ideal pairing. Any help?

Hi all, When I record midi direct from my Ensoniq keyboard I get a faithful reproduction of my playing (including all use of the sustain pedal.) However if I then click "edit clip..." and make changes to the midi track in the midi editor, then when I play it again from the main window the sustain-pedal info has been wiped and I just get the length of the notes as I held them down. The sustained notes are still available if I switch back to edit mode and play it from there (but obviously I can only play a single track in edit mode). So for instance after I do any small edit, all my arpeggios etc. sound clunky and staccato instead of being held over the time I pressed the sustain pedal. Note that the midi data in the edit window only shows the actual time the key was pressed (say I held a C for one second). But the sustain pedal overrides the ending of the note and it might be audible for 3 seconds. There is no visual data in the midi-edit table to show that the sustain pedal has been pressed so I can't edit sustain back in as far as I know. But ... even though the sustain data appears to be ignored in the main window, the info is not deleted. I know this because if I save and close the file, when I re-open it it is still possible to hear the sustained version but only if I click play in "edit mode"... But in the main window the sustain info remains lost. Seems like a bug to me - anyone else experienced this? Cheers.

When I create a midi file in a song that is any tempo other than 120 it says my midi file is in 120 and asks if I want to change my project tempo to 120. I can't find a way to change the tempo or time signature in midi editor at all so quantizing outside of 120 4/4 is impossible. I'm on windows version.

"the recording will start once the program detects MIDI signal coming in". So does this mean that i can not "play along" to the other tracks i have recorded, Guitar, bass... with midi signal coming from my drums? I have completed the other tracks and i just want to play my drums into a track. My idea is that i do it with midi so i can edit after the fact. But i am having no luck in recording midi, hearing midi, much less editing midi. and now my project thinks i have recorded midi and will not let me go back to do a second take. totally lost and frustrated. PLEASE HELP!!!

Is it possible to create midi events such as control change, program change etc, to send to an external instrument (Yamaha keyboard) using MixPad? If so I cannot see how to do it. Thanks.

Wie kan me helpen. Ik heb geprobeerd om mijn Carbon 49 midi keybord in Mixpad te integreren. Wat ik ook probeer, ik krijg geen toetsaanslagen te zien of geluid te horen. De Carbon 49 veranderen bij "opties" op een nummer met "opnemen met midi-apparaat" heeft geen zin en ook niet bij "MIDI-afspeelopties" Wie kan mij helpen?

Okay so I got a midi controller it's the Alesis Vmini and I figured out how to set it up and all that and like It'll start recording the midi thing that I'll be doing but it won't make any sound. when I play back the midi track, there is no sound. I tried messing with my sound playback settings but those work fine; it's just a matter of something on the software. Please helpppppppp

When I open or import midi files I get one bar per staff (- and lots of staffs!) I haven't found a midi file that imports properly. What am I doing wrong? I took the Sugar Plum Fairy example that comes with the program, exported to midi, then re-imported and have the same problem, so I guess there's a setting wrong. I'm using the Mac version. (also - I'm not sure how to 'import existing attachment' to this site so I can't put up a pic.)

I want to listen to the VSTi that i play when recording "monitoring". But i do not find any option for midi thru to the VSTi? It only plays up, it seem silly do i need a second host to monitor? There must be a built in host because it play up the recorded midi events? Confused... I must say i like what i see very clear and intuitive interface, like Cooledit on steroids.

Is it something I am doing wrong as I build up a score that results in extraneous notes in the midi output? Nobody else seems to have reported a problem of this sort. The score looks and plays fine but the output is clearly corrupted as is evidenced when played on other midi players and when re-imported to a new score.
