Program freezes when opened on Macbook

I just downloaded the free version of Wavepad, but when I try to open the program, I get the "play, stop, record" box, the time box, and then the program freezes and doesn't open any further. I'm running Tiger Mac OS X 10.4. Any ideas about what could be wrong?

you may want to try this;

 

go to ;

 

tools

 

options

 

audio processing

 

clik "use this specified folder"

 

then name your own folder and drive [ example - D:\audio\wavepad-working-folder ]

 

clik ok

that seems to fix a lot of things. don't ask why...
