Express Talk latency

Hi,

Express Talk installed and set up quite easily, thanks.

There seems to be a very long delay on the incoming sound. We can't find any settings to control latency, are you already aware of this issue? The latency in the other direction (the computer user talking to the phone user) is perfectly acceptable.

We have been using XLite, but we have echo problems with that. Express Talk seems to do a better job with echo, but the latency of around 1 second is just too much.

Greetings

Hi,

I have got similar problems with Express Talk. But I have also echo Problems when talking to an ordinary Phone (only the one using Express Talk is hearing the echo)

WELL echo has to be solved in my opinion.... Is there a website that can test your setup and perform diag?

nap

This software really needs to be fixed. the IVR program has the same delays. When someone tries to record a voice message its 3-4 seconds delayed! Horrible!

Installed Phonegnome which uses express talk.

LATENCY & ECHOES in calls to land lines -- NO PROBLEMS with Yahoo voice, suspect problem with express talk, need alternative or fix, using v 1.03

thanks,

Mark
