cchen
I tried to record sound track from an outside player such as CD player, plug in to microphone of my notebook. I tried both mono and stero, but I can not record both R and L tracks. How could I do that and see both tracks and both FFTs in wavepad? Thanks, Carl

Thanks, Carl your first mistake is plugging in to the microphone you need to use a line-in jack if you don't have one, you have two options get a USB converter to makeup for the jack you don't have, [ such as M-Transit ]http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Transit/ or play with the input on the mic input, [ in recording devices ] but I don't see that working out too well, because you'll have mixed impedences that won't like each other, you'll get a crappy sound at best.
