Express Burn Problem

Hi

I just recently downloaded this software to try to burn an audio CD.

Burning goes fine; finalizes it properly, but when I stick it back in to the tray and launch media player, 1 or 2 tracks won't play - it basically freezes the player, forcing me to eject the CD.

On looking at the underside you can see where the data is burnt there seems to be a section of data toward the inner part of the disc missing which is obviously why the player froze.

Now this happened twice.

The first attempt - only track 4 wouldn't play. On the second attempt tracks 3 and 4 wouldn't play - also the missing data on that disc was slightly larger.

First attempt 'Track At Once'.

Second attempt 'Session At Once'

I'm not quite sure if it's the media as I've always used TDK with no problems.

My combo drive seems to burn everything else OK; Data, DVD, MP3's etc., just lately I've had problems with AUDIO CD's specifically.

Hope someone can help because it's quite frustrating ending up with coasters. :(

Regards

F.

Hi Fission,

Here's the only thing I can think of. When I started using Express Burn, my burner wouldn't work. I tried and tried, but got nowhere. I was told that sometimes, comboburners might not work properly with the software. My burner is a DVD CD type. I ended up buying an external CD burner, and can now burn audio files just fine.

I hope this helps!
