Trouble saving AIFF file

Hi Folks,

 

I just installed Wavepad on my new iMac, running 10.5

 

I'm working on an AIFF file of a song from a CD, but I can't save it. I get a message:

 

Error: unable to create file [my file name and location] for saving.

make sure you are saving the files to your local HD, not to mounted CD, also try to add ".aiff" extension to file name when you save the file.
