unable to select a drive!

Hi,

I'm trying to burn a data cd but I only have a choice of an image drive (no D or E). even when i select those drives it says no Cd in drive, which there is!.. only allows me to save the image to a folder on my computer. any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. You do not say what kind of disk you are trying to write. Is it a CD-R (XP can format this) or a CD-RW (XP cannot format this)? I've been doing some reading and XP cannot format/write for ISO images (I was getting the same message about putting a disk in the drive when one was already there.
