I know that the length of time may vary depending on their ISP, but if you can provide a generalization, that would be very helpful to me, as I have no earthly idea. You can estimate the sizes by looking at this page: www.nch.com.au/acm and then if you have a 512kbps upload speed, you will be able to send roughly (512k/8=64k) 50 kB per second (once you take into account overheads etc...).
