Exporting to own computer

The Home use version is supposed to be free yet I cannot export my slideshow/video to my own computer.

I am retired and have no desire to sell what I have put together nor to publish it on social media or other software that seems to be available , it is just a record of restoring a car that my brother is  doing and sending me the photos to put together. He and I may send it to friends and that's all. I may put together holiday photos/videos with backing music and that is the limit of my usage.

Before Christmas I put together a couple of short slideshows and was able to Export them , but now I cannot as the software won't allow me to.

At one time Microsoft included MS Movie Maker with a computer with no charge, there is no reason why this one should be chargeable to do the same thing.

I only occassionally use this so to be paying a monthly/yearly fee to a foreign country and unknown company is too much to risk.

I don't even see a price for the license, the currency, terms and conditions.  I only pay in Pounds Sterling, no foreign currency.

Having found the price list, why are we messing about with three currencies. All prices for anything bought in the UK includes VAT in the price and not added extra, neither should we be paying US taxes.  We are supposed to pay the price stated not an estimated price and allow you to juggle currency fluctuations in your favour ate the expense of the customer.

Please advise what is wrong.
