kennethburgener
I am attempting to burn an ISO image to a disc. I am using Express Burn 3.03. The disc appears to write to 100% and then it moves to the finalizing disc stage, at which point, at about 20% or 30%, the burn fails with this error: -------------------------------- [Express Burn] Writing the image has failed. Reason: Error Writing to Disk. -------------------------------- I am using a "Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-R2512" which came with my HP Compaq nx9110 laptop. I am using Memorex CD-R discs. I have tried numerous times and it appears to fail in the same spot each time. Here is a detailed description of what I do to cause this error on my system: 1. File menu -> Advanced -> Write ISO Image to Disk... 2. I select the ISO image (ie "CentOS-5.0-x86_64-bin-1of7.iso") 3. I select the standard options: Burner: D:\ Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-R Write Speed: [MAX] Copies to Burn: 1 [ ] Use overburning [ ] Erase Rewritable [X] VerifyBurn 4. I click OK and the burn begins 5. The progress bar for "Writing to Disk" progresses to 100% and then the finalize stage begins. 6. During the finalization stage, it then errors out with the message above. There were several posts that suggested using the "Burn using Windows Media Player (Windows XP or later)", but is grayed out and I am unable to select this option. Any ideas what might be causing this?
