Newbie Q: Configuring Axon / ETalk to interact with existing PABX

Hi Everyone,

We have an existing PSTN based PABX that currently uses LinkSys SIP (4x lines) PAP2T VoIP adapters.

I would like our staff to access the PABX and our cheaper VoIP call rates when on the move - using softphone on staff laptops to connect back to our office via VPN whilst away from the office.

Do I need to purchase a telephony board (to run on a dedicated VPABX server) to route all the calls between softphone and our PSTN inputs on the PABX?

OR..

can this be done with a dedicated Windows box running Axon VPABX which logs into our VoIP provider, then using ExpressTalk software for laptop staff AND allowing the existing PABX to access to VPABX system via our LinkSys PAP2T VoIP adapters?

The goal is to allow our PSTN PABX to continue getting calls, but also allowing mobile users to answer / make calls via softphone technology.

What does everyone think?

Regards,

Darren.
