3 problems with new version

I just upgraded to the new version and have noted these problems:

1. Quick-tap feature does not stop playback with another tap. (On the old version, one tap to turn on, second tap to turn off.)
   
2. I download voice files directly from the client's website into Express Scribe. Now, each time I do, it opens a new player window instead of dropping it into the queue.
   
3. At the same time, I get a new, separate icon in my taskbar each time that does not stop popping up even if I set my preferences to "Always Hide."
   

I have redownloaded the old version for the time being, but looking forward to the fixes. It seems like it will be great once it's "bug free."

Also, please add this to the problem list with v4.12:

 

When you press F7 for rewind or F8 for fast forward, the ES screen comes up (if minimized).

I have to press F6 to minimize each time I rewind.

Also, taking my finger off F7 doesn't always stop the rewind (intermittent, sometimes it does).

 

Thank you for fixing the Assign Hot Key problem from v4.11. I hope you can fix the rewind issue too!

Now F7 and F8 default to real FF/RW, instead of backstep/forwardstep. And the maximize feature is just a bug. However, despair not: Here's the fix!

Go into Hot Keys Setup, choose F7 as the key and then there's a drop down menu that has "backstep 5s." Similarly with F8 for "step forward 5s." For some reason the back/fwd step settings do not maximize Scribe. Then I set up F7/F8 for back/fwd step, and Shift F7/F8 or something like that for FF/RW.

What would be VERY nice, aside from posting the new version with its number on the webpage, would be to have a page saying what the new features/fixes there are. Almost everybody does it, and the client can decide then whether to download the new version, or wait.

I would love to see a response to problem #2 as I am having the same problem since I installed the new version this morning. Is there any resolution yet, or should I go back to the previous version, too?

Version 4.13 of Express Scribe is in final testing now and should be live by the end of this week . It was delayed because we were fixing up the msv/dvf issue previously reported.

WMA files which are copy righted will have problems loading. This is due to Windows Copy Protection

I saved file to DCT then tried open it with Scribe by double click on file from file explorer. Scribe did not loaded it. This is a bug. * This only occurs if the File is Invalid. With 0 duration. Added a delete if file is less than 0 on a timer.

Changed the way the notes field loads the text. Cursor will no longer job nor will the scrollbar move.

Fixed error where the notes do not delete if set to empty.

New Dictation Count is now correct

I may have missed it, but I don't see anywhere in your list where the problem with multiple player windows is addressed (problem #2 in my original post). Can you tell me if this has been fixed?

To my knowledge that has now been fixed (I could not replicate the problem with this new version).
