Playback problem in Mac OSX

Hi all,

 

I have recently switched to using a Mac, and prefer it to the old PC. I am having a slight problem in playing back audio files in Express Scribe, however:

 

When playing back, the very last few seconds of an audio file will inevitably begin (sort of) skipping. It's unintelligible, locks up my computer until it's done (takes a few seconds), and then I miss the last few words of the dictation.

 

I have tried deleting the application and downloading it again from Express Scribe, but I still have the same problem.

 

Anyone know what I can do?
