Every time I upgrade the software, I seem to lose my license. In the registration FAQ it says: "This means the Registration Code you have is older than the product you are trying to enter it into. Your serial number purchased is valid for the version available for download at that time, and new releases for 6 months after." https://www.nch.com.au/support/reg.html You can roll back to your original version, skip the updates,  and your license will stay valid "forever". Hope this helps.

@jessalex In addition to what Etti said, we'd only recommend updates if you really have to say, technical issues or missing features.
