Recording from multiple lines does not work

Hi,

 

a client of mine has been trying out the VRS Recording System. They want to record two phone lines. They have bought two Call Recording Adapters and plugged a phone line into each one. They have then plugged the output from the Call Recording Adapters into a Y-adapter which then gets plugged into the sound card on a PC. They are not able to record any calls whatsoever.

 

If they just hook up one line, they can record.

 

What can I tell them to look at to get this sorted out?
