Compatible Foot Pedals for Mac OS 10.3.9

Hi everyone,

 

I've just downloaded the express scribe software and I'm trying to figure out what kind of foot pedal will work. Is it true that since I'm using Mac OS the only foot pedal that will be compatible are the VEC Foot Pedals offered by NCH? I'm a bit confused because I also read somewhere on the site that it's possible to re-wire pedals that come with traditional transcribers - but maybe this is only possible for PC users - is that right?
