wma to mp3 - file could not be opened

I try to convert my wma files to mp3 and it does nothing - in the "other information" section of the Switch screen it says "The file could not be opened." There is nothing special about the win media files.

so their not DRM files then ? check that in windows explorer by doing a right-click on them -> Properties -> check for a Licensing tab (if its not there then the files arent DRM).

 

if its not DRM, please open the file with Windows Media Player, and go to File -> Properties -> File tab -> look for "Audio Codec" and then copy and paste what is written there.
