ugha323a
I produce a Real Player TV show that is 30 minutes long and 3 megs in size. Using Switch to convert to MP3, the file jumps to about 10 megs and the sound is not as clear. Why is this? If I use Record Pad and use a live mic to MP3, that same 30 minute file is 12 megs and thats with using all of the defaults on the variable bit rate? Is there some way to get these files down in size?
nchtj
size totally depends on the settings you choose to use to make the file. using standard mp3 settings, you will probably always get a bigger filesize converting real to mp3. hit the "encoder settings" button and play around a bit with your mp3 encoder settings.
