can't hear any sound before and while recording

hi all

 

 

i plugged my electric guitar into line in socket, i selected line in as input, the right audio device too..........i can record it and playbacking it but i can't hear any sound from my speakers before i start recording and while i'm doing it.......how can i record if i can't hear my guitar while i'm playing it?

Please check your Sound and Audio Devices from the Windows Control Panel, click on Advanced and ensure that you have your line in playback unmuted.
