HELP ERROR MESSAGE w/ conexant modem TAPI???

i have a brand new laptop w/ voice modem..

Conexant HDA D110 MDC V.92

 

I updated the drivers and it keeps telling me i have a problem with not having the Wave or TAPI drivers installed. How is this?? I don't get it.

 

I'm using the trail version of TRx and am not going to buy it if i cant get it to work.

 

PLEASE HELP ASAP

I have the same problem with my new laptop using the same conexant modem.I am trying to use IVM telephone answer assistant but it tells me that I do not have tapi or wav drivers installed. I have run the modem helper utility provided by dell which says the modem is installed OK. Where do I go from here?
