Audio not working no matter what I do

Just today I started using videopad and no audio is working. None of the sliders are down, everythings unmuted, I've restarted my computer twice and I have the recommended version. I am at a loss. The same goes for recording audio files or narration, the most I got was a quick display before it went back to a flat line after recording like everything else.

did you chose your correct recording device /micophone and the settings in your recording options?  I had a similar issue once (and re-installing my microphone and restarting the computer plus changing the settings fixed it for me)
