File format is not supported

Hi, I am new to wavepad, and have found it a fantastic programme, but I have a problem I was wondering if anyone could help me with. I have looked on the forums but cannot seem to find the answer to my question, which is.

 

I am trying to edit a Track, which is shown as Track1.cda When I try I am getting the following message

File format is not supported by this programme or that a required codec or plugin is not installed.

 

Was just wondering if anyone out there could help me.

 

Just to let you know what the cd is, it is a copy of the sound of music soundtrack, which I need to make a medely out of for a charity concert we are doing at christmas.

With the CD in the drive, select File menu -> Load CD tracks, and load your track that way. You cannot use the File menu -> Open File to load a CD track.

No tracks list when I go the "Load" route (and, of course, "Open" doesn't work. Any ideas?
