How do I turn off the "File Browser" and keep it off?

I have Windows v9.79 of MixPad and the "File Browser" keeps opening when I start the app. I originally set the File Browser to my Music directory but MixPad takes so long to start it's painful.  I now have it set it to an empty folder but the folder keeps taking up space on screen every time MixPad starts.  How do I keep it tuned off?

A bug?  When I right-clicked in the File Browser area and clicked "Hide" the File Browser disappeared but I could not Play anything.  A right-click on the Play button showed the File Browser options.
