PATVideo
I cannot determine why the "wavy x" transition is set up in some cases and not others. I use the split tool to cut the video, and would like to get a transition "wavy x" on each use. Is that possible?
borate
What is the exact name of this transition and in what VP version? When you say "on each use" do you mean that you want to use the same transition between multiple clips? Make the choice in the drop-down menu... PATVideo
No what I mean is that the "wavy X" transition option is not available at all cuts. I would like all cuts to have a transition opportunity. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. I can't figure out how to force the option to be available. This is the most recent version - just purchased. OK, now I re-opened a project, and found the "wavy X" transition option available at cuts that initially did not have it. Possibly I just need to restart the VP. But I continue to cut using "Split" without getting an option to add a transition.
borate
Now it's understood what you mean by "wavy-x." It's not an effect, but the icon within the clip. Due to space considerations, the X may not show on each clip UNTIL the timeline is expanded. Drag the slider that's at the bottom-right of the VP window to the right.
