dimachu
Hi everyone. When I try to upload a project, I get this error(click). I tried to download ffmpeg23, but nothing changed, I restarted the program and the PC, but also nothing changes. Can you help me?
borate
Download this file and double-click on it. If still no joy move the downloaded file to this folder, using Windows Explorer (the file manager)... "C:\Users\<PC Name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" What version of Videopad is being used? Here's the latest. Try it. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
Steve D
I have been having the same problem, and no amount of uninstall/reinstall fixed it. However, I figured out a workaround : ) I created a folder, "ffmpeg23" in C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components I opened took "ffmpeg23.exe" in 7-Zip. Inside was one file, "avcodec-55.nch.dll". I extracted it the ffmpeg23 folder created above. Then, I copied that folder (ffmpeg23), and its contents, to "%AppData%\Roaming\NCH Software\Components This folder gets created "next to" ffmpeg22. I started VideoPad and I was able to import my file. Your mileage may vary but I'm betting this workaround will work for others. Steve
borate
Whatever works! Usually, if a VP component is missing, it may be offered - or install automatically - as needed. A reinstall of the program may also succeed. In the ffmpeg23 folder here these files are listed...
Steve D
That's just it - it failed on the automatic install. Program reinstall didn't help. Where can we get those other files? Only the first was in the ffmpeg23.exe file.
borate
It's possible that the version you installed did not require those files. As noted, if a component is missing it normally will auto-install. What VP version is being used there? The latest as of this date is 11.20, linked above.
