Update?

I bought videopad a few years back, but haven't used it much. I've now got more time for it but am confused about whether I have to pay for updates. I've been attempting to create a video but there is a lag in the sound after export. I did see a post saying the issue may be that the programme needs to be updated. I have version 7.11. Can anyone help please?

Updates are free within a six-month period after purchase.  Try this version, which seems to be within that window.

New releases can be test driven without registering.  Running as a trial, there eventually will be feature limitations for the normal download version.

The free version is similarly limited.

Thank you very much borate, very appreciated. Do you know why Videopad charges for what appears to be indispensable updates for paid for software? Seems wrong to me. I wouldn't have bought videopad if I'd have known.

Commercial software often charges a fee to update after a period of time, or is offered strictly on a subscription basis.  Videopad has that option as well.

VP frequent updates are more cosmetic than indispensable. New features, UI refinements and quick glitch fixes that may not be encountered by most users.

As mentioned, the latest unlicensed release can be installed, to explore what's new.  This seems a fairly liberal policy.

Retain your installer and registration info.
