John D
I am trying to import .mov files exported from Tricaster into the latest version of VideoPad (V8.99). They show up as audio files in the clip section and have no video associated with them. They play properly in VLC. Is there something missing? borate
Put one up on a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shareable (public) link, copy the link and post it here or in a Private Message via the envelope at the top-right of this forum. We'll take a look.
borate
Likely missing a supportive codec. It doesn't play in Windows Media Player or in MPC-BE. And won't load in VP or another video editor See if another output format is available.
John D
Where does one get the appropriate codec?
borate
There are many free codecs available via the Net. But, as most viewers and editors are unable to render the file correctly, it would be better to correct the issue by outputting in a more compatible format. MOV is a container format. Normally the encoders it uses succeed. Look here for background. The folks at Tricaster support may have the answer if you pass along the findings here.
