whozat
SWITCH says I need a new codec to convert .ape. Unfortunately I don't even know what format .ape is. Any answers out there?
nchtj
err, sorry switch would not say any such thing about ape, because the word "ape" has not been programmed into the switch code anywhere. What is the exact error message?
whozat
"cannot open the file.It is possible you don't have a suitable audio codec installed. Please see www.nch.com.au/acm/formats.html for more information. It was originally a .rar file. when opened it showed the "switch icon" in front of each file. It is an .ape file (similar to m3u) but I cannot open the audio now. I did get the pics open.
nchtj
we're certainly investigating a conversion from ape to other formats for a future release.
Guest Bob E.
Go to www.monkeysaudio.com and download the Monkey's Audio Program. After Installing you can use it to decompress APE files into WAV files. You can then convert the WAV files to any audio format you like using any program that works. nchtj
yes that's correct, but those who want that support in Switch should hangout for the next version, with all the new cool features we are putting into it you won't wanna use any other product! :-)
