flac won't play on phone

I'm having a strange problem. flac files encoded with Wavepad won't play on my phone. The files will start to play, but then stop after about 2 seconds. The same files play fine on my computer. Sounds like the problem is with my phone, right? Except that my phone has no problem with any other flac files.

My phone plays flacs that I have downloaded, and flacs that I have created in other programs just fine. It will even handle 24 bit flacs I downloaded just fine. It just won't play flacs created with Wavepad. I've even verified that Wavepad is using the same version of flac converter as CDeX which is:    libFLAC 1.3.1 (UTC 2014-11-25) and the CDeX flacs play fine.
And oh yeah, my phone will play mp3's created with Wavepad just fine.

This is a head scratcher. I wonder if anyone has any Ideas.
