Olympus 2200 SHQ WMA files - compatible?

Hello all - this is a total newbie question.

 

I'm just about to invest in a number of Olympus 2200 digital recorders for a research team in Sydney, Australia. We will be recording SHQ files, which are WMA format and we're working in a Windows XP environment.

 

I've been told by a local transcribing service that Express Scribe won't work with Olympus SHQ/WMA files and I need to buy the proprietary Olympus transcription kits with the recorders. In contrast, the Express Scribe website suggests it will work just fine.

 

Is there anyone out there who's using the combination of files and hardware that we'll be using and can advise whether Express Scribe will work for us?
