Speed of transcription

I have recently downloaded Express Scribe and I am unable to get the right speed via the pedal. If I do F10 the speed is correct until I stop and start up again. I have obviously not set it up right. Does anyone have any suggestions. Any help would be much appreciated.

I had the same problems and went to settings and did the footpedal wizard. it will tell you to push on the rewind, fast forward and play pedals, which ever ones you use for the actions and then it should be okay. I set the playback speed for 50 for slow and 150 fast.
