unable to record via webcam due to automatic screen offering unrelated download

I just installed and registered videopad

when I try to make a video  by recording myself live using my computer camera but instead I get a screen offering an

unrelated download; I

want to stop the screen

offering an unrelated download so I can start recording myself;

also how can I change the settings to stop auto

deleting my message as I type

please advise
