sarahberry Posted April 7, 2006 Share Posted April 7, 2006 I am trying to use the Speech Recognition Engine, but no choices are shown in the drop-down menu (in Settings) when I go to choose an engine. I've set up both Microsoft Dictation (the one that comes with Office/Windows) and e-Speaking (http://www.e-speaking.com/), and I thought these were both SAPI compliant. So, what am I doing wrong? I am having the same problem with the Office/windows speech recognition. It is supposed to be SAPI compliant so why won't it show up on the list as a speech recognition engine? (http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/audio/speech/speechtech.mspx). The previous mesage hasn't been answered for almost a year.
