GSM 6.10 86 (0x0086) Codec problem....

Hi,

 

I have just registered to try to solve a problem I need to fix... and would be very grateful if anyone could offer any advice/help?..

 

I have some Wave Sound files that I need to play, but Windows Media Player or any other media players I have won't play them. I did some research and it seems I need a codec known as: GSM 6.10 (86)?... I have searched high and low but cannot find anywhere to download it. I have also downloaded numerous converters, to try to convert the files to mp3 format or whatever, but I am getting error messages saying ACM DRIVER ERROR.... or ACM CODEC IS NOT INSTALLED ON THIS PC...

 

I am running Windows XP.

 

I would be very grateful if anyone could help...
