eyeontheprize
Does this software work for transcribing a WAV file as recorded from a cordless phone audio feed? I specifically need it for transcription, so playback (noise reduction, slow, auto rewind, etc.) features are a must. I have "Express Scribe" installed if I need it. I'm so green at this and have so many questions. Here are my assumptions: I can connect my cordless phone to the mic jack on my Dell XP400 (as I now connect the cordless to the mic jack on a cassette recorder). Then what software can I use for automatic recording of the audio feed? WavePad? Then will I need other software for playback (like the Express Scribe) or will WavePad do it all? Will I need a foot pedal or are there "hot keys" like in Express Scribe? Pros and cons of doing transcription from a WAV file? How many minutes of an audio feed equal what size of a WAV file? Thanks, y'all!
