Need some basic instructions

I am a new user and have been trying to understand how it works. Does someone have some simple instructions? I have downloaded all of my old vhs tapes to dvd. All I want to do is load a dvd into the software and be able to cut different scenes into individual segments, name them, and save them. any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Also do a WEB search for "Videopad tutorials." Lots of stuff available, but be sure they're for a recent 3x or 4x version. Many changes throughout the years.
