How can I import standard WordStar files (ie. those with a high-bit) directly into a Word-like programme, just by entering the full name and extension (ie. 8+3) -- the extension by no means indicating it is a WS file?

I have two utilities to STRIP the high-bit off WordStar files, but I have to go into DOS to do that, and the Win10 I would like to switch to (from Win7) does not easily have that facility (vDOS makes it at least another couple of steps).

Is there a way with Doxillion (possibly a .bat file), or some Word-like programme that will directly import a WordStar file (from a "Open a WS file" under File), and automatically filter out the high-bit, so I can save the resulting file as a .Doc, .Docx, or at least a .RTF file?

I would be very grateful if someone has an answer to this seemingly imponderable question....
