Judytunes
Tried to "Load audio tracks from a CD, and message came up: Abnormal Signal Crash Wave PAd Sound Editor has crashed with an abnormal exception. Said to note it was a Signal 11. I then bought a new Wave pad Sound Editor, and the same thing happened. Again and again. Help
Guest Alex Chapman
Hi, I don't have a CD drive to test this with right now, but in the mean time I think you can work around this problem. I'm assuming that since you got a Signal 11 you're using a Mac? In which case you should be able to copy the audio tracks off your CD using Finder, and then open them from WavePad using the regular Open File. Guest Alex Chapman
I have a CD drive now and just loaded an audio CD with WavePad 6.11 on Mac. So this crash may be very specific to your setup. Could you let us know more about it? Such as version of OS, version of WavePad, etc. Also, try loading a different CD to see if that makes a difference. Judytunes
HI Alex, I have tried other CDs--same Abnormal Crash message. My Mac is OS X Yosemite, Version 10.10.3. I have downloaded the new Wave Pad several times, so I'm not sure which is the correct one. It doesn't show up as having been re-loaded in my Applications. I have loaded the tracks into ITunes, but I haven't figured how to get them loaded back into WavePad to edit. Thanks for your help. Judy
